Chapter 15 is about heredity and disease, talking about chromosomes, dna, karyotype etc. The chapter then moves on to talk about hereditary diseases, ones you are born with and the diseases that are genetic. Alot of the chapter was about the hereditary diseases that you are born with, and some major ways to prevent them. The end of the chapter had alot to do with stem cells and genes.
Chapter 20 i liked alot more, it was all about exploring alternative medicines, which i take alot of real consideration in becuase i am against alot of the medicines that are out there today the ones that are not herbal. The chapter moved from herbal medicines to acupuncture, to aromatherapy, and massage. Basically all other forms of medicine all cramed in on chapter.
In my discussion group there was alot of talk about alternative medicines, and i learned alot about what other people think about them , and some other forms of healing that i never knew about, also was able to learn alot of information from links that people posted.
All in all in this course i do feel that i learned alot of very useful information about health and well-being, and will be able to take that anywhere with me in the future, and i am really not unsure about anything. My grades throughout the course were a little above average , and and happy with my outcome in the course, the only place were i do say i would need some help would be the discussion post i seem to never have alot of time to fully write what i wanted, there area lot of other factors to why this is. The thing that help me achieve success in this course was hard work and dedication.
